Hey all,

A little late to post, but received my AVII 63 tele from wildwood on 12/3. I know opinions on these vary from “crap poly undercoat” to “closest thing before custom shop”, but either way I’m really enjoying it.

The burst on mine is pretty standard, the rosewood fingerboard a little on the lighter side. I debated an opposite one with more of the 60s “target” burst and a really dark fretboard, but I did not enjoy dealing with the store that had it in stock.

Anyways, for anyone on the fence, these guitars are great! I love the neck, have not noticed any downsides of the 7.25 radius (and I own pointy guitars from LTD with 16” radii), and hope to see it age just a little in the years to come. Wildwood guitars was great to work with as always.

Absolutely vintage looking! Beautiful.

2 questions - sorry, I am that guy.

1. Where is the switch tip?
2. Are those threaded saddles?

Nice.congratulations!

Ps You can darken that board if you want. Monty’s relic wax is good to use for this. No affiliation.

Switch tip is still in the case. I need to put it on.

Yes, these AVII 1963 teles use threaded saddles.
