You need to switch to Strats - Fender is making lefty AV II '57s and AV II '61s in the same colors as the righty models. Maybe Fender will add a lefty '63 Tele at some point in the same colors/body wood options as the righty.

I've been all GAH since I saw this years back.

I don't get all GAH just because it comes outta the CS either. That to me is exactly how a Tele should sound. One of them anyway.

I like his playing too, and I dig that he sometimes gigs with a Baja Tele. The dude has cases and cases of nice guitars at his finger tips and plays out with a Baja. That confirms a lot for me about those guitars.

Hell, even though I just got this AVII '63, I'm still haunted by my 50's Baja I sold three years ago. Just helped my Dad track one down, in Desert Sand (LOVE) and I'm jealous. Yes, me...Dusty Mike... the guy that JUST bought an over-$3000 CAN Tele three weeks ago.... is jealous of someone that just got a discontinued Baja three days ago. If that, plus the Greg thing, doesn't illustrate how fun those guitars are, I don't know what does.

Congrats on a great guitar! I should know, I bought one as well. And your description is spot on. Those pickups...I'm amazed at them. I have a vintera 1950s road worn tele with the 7.25 neck that I have more of a tendency to have bend issues with. The AVII '63...no such issues. Someone with more knowledge can probably better explain why...the slightly thicker neck perhaps? Anyway...it's hard to put down it plays so well.
