Update:
The store is replacing the guitar for me. The new one should be here in a few days, hoping everything is good with it and it feels the same. We shall see! Customer Service is alive and well!
Be aware that the replacement might not have the same "magic" or whatever you want to call it, as the one you have. Not all equal guitars are equal, if that makes sense. Play both of them and keep the one that calls your name, even if it is the one with the crack. That's my humble opinion for whatever it is worth.

My American Pro II (Lefty - like the picture to the left), which I bought last summer, is my first Telecaster and the first American Fender I have had. It's a great guitar and I doubt I will change anything about it.
Maybe a humbucker pup at some point for some more warmth but, right now, it's awesome.

I should have kept it for sure now that I’m in this predicament. The new one plays and sounds just as good just needs work to get it close intonation wise. I wish they would have just gave me a discount for the trouble, I’d have been happy with that.

Bump for discussion.

I’m having trouble bonding with the guitar. I mean I like it but I’m not in love. I keep picking up my bullet tele and just feeling at home. I’m going to have it looked at one more time from a setup standpoint and I may decide to sell it. I just really feel like I should like this guitar more than my cheapo beater.
