Welcome all,

This post might very well be illegal here but it does contain tele and I just really like this place! ;)

I own a fender strat ultra in Texas Tea but after I bought a new AO60s tele in burgundy mist around New Years, I barely played it. A few weeks back I found a brand new AO50 tele which I went and bought to finish my 50s-60s tele collection. Now the ultra strat did nothing but gathering dust. Which is weird as I think it's a fantastic looking and playing guitar!

However, something about these american original series got to me! The vibe, the feels, the custom-shop-like specs, ... So I went looking for a 60s strat. A 50s was fine too but I only wanted the white blonde American Original (or AVII in Vintage blonde but I do prefer 9.5 radius). None to be found anywhere.

However, a big store went out of business a while back and recently held an auction to sell the remaining stock. There was 1 American Original in that auction, which happened to be the white blonde AO50s strat. I bid and got it brand new for €1200 (excluding taxes that is). Seems like a good deal to begin with + I can't find them anywhere anymore.

My ultra is now officially for sale. I'm still looking for a 60s strat to complete my 50s-60s tele/strat "collection" but I absolutely want it to be in Burgundy Mist which just isn't an option for now... I'm secretly hoping the AVII 1961 strat gets released in that colour!

Here's some pictures of it as well as some pictures with "the gang".
Congrats, that’s a beauty, love the color! I like the existing pickguard color too. But I always wanted a white blonde Strat with a anodized gold pickguard.

Yeah, I like the stock white single ply guard! A little piece of the pickguard already broke of but I think it adds to the vintage vibe.

corner of walk and don't walk
I don't know much about paint/laquer but I'm excited to see the end result for sure!
I do like a buttersctoch blonde but white blonde is so much nicer to me both on a strat and tele.
I can see myself selling my BSB 50s tele for another one in white blonde if they release one...

I like both the Butterscotch and the White variations of the Blond finish, but this will be my first shot at a White Blond finish

I think the White Blond looks a little more elegant than Butterscotch - it always helps if there is nice grain in the Swamp Ash underneath to show through the finish like on yours

Although I don't use gold hardware on my builds because it always seems to wear and tarnish so quickly, I think the prettiest Strats and Teles I've seen are the "Mary Kay" type with the White Blond finish and all gold hardware

Yeah, those are the nicest ones in my opinion too. Both the AO50s tele and strat have a LTD edition which are mary kayes.
They are both Chambered which I'm not sure if I like that buttt I would've bought them for sure, ESPECIALLY the 50s tele... I think the 50s bsb looks a bit boring, but that mary kaye ltd is godly... Too bad I can't find any!

Thanks! I'm definitly liking it alot myself. I remember seeing it for the first time and how amazed I was. It's so classy looking!
American originals come with pale maple necks, which I don't like but it does work on this body color 😊
