I just picked up this American Original ‘60’s Tele in Lake Placid Blue.
You people are killing me with these LPB AO Teles!
Oh yeah, congrats..
Congratulations and HNGD!! Beaut.
Yes! Good score! Double bound anything always wins.
So nice congrats!
THIS is the guitar I would like to try, despite all the modern appointments I'd happily play this beauty every day of the week.
Love it, congrats! Any idea how the neck profile compares to an AV64?
this or an avri?
Yep, I know EXACTLY how it compares to an AV ‘64. I have one of those in Candy Apple Red. It is pretty much exactly the same which is why I didn’t hesitate to buy it.
Either one, it’s really up to you. Do you want one of the newer colors with binding or the older color(s)? 7.25” or 9.5” radius? Vintage frets or 6105’s?
Pickups the same?
Not sure which I’d prefer. I like the binding and newer colors, but it’s not REALLY vintage specs. Not sure if thatbreally matters though.
They both have the Pure Vintage ‘64 pickups, which are AWESOME!! Overall I would say the neck on the AO is better. The 9.5” radius is nice but the taller frets really seals the deal. You’ll get a lot more life out of them as well.
Congrats, that is a sweet looking tele. Yet to try one of the American originals but they sound very nice indeed. Enjoy!
Very pretty...that Tele will turn heads.Congratulations!!
