… I watched a YouTube video and caught wind of these:

Just a fun little guitar for the back porch or the “parlor” - I mean TV room!

Happy NGD!

The Jim Dandy is a fun guitar and quite well made for the price. I wanted to sand the saddle to lower the action a bit and I broke it so I replaced it and the nut while I was at it. I also bought a Gretsch Deltoluxe soundhole pickup.

But, as much as I like it I may sell it since I just picked up this 1930s Oahu parlor. I put on a set of Martin silk and wire strings. If I keep the Gretsch I'll definitely put them on it too. They sound great and have a softer feel then regular strings.

Keep the JD! It is great to throw in the car for a weekend camping trip. You don't need to worry about treating it with kid gloves like a vintage guitar. I am awfully careful with my vintage a acoustics. If one of my mini-Martins gets stepped on or stolen, I would be less likely to kick in my car fender.

I'm taking your advice @Boreas, and keeping mine. A guy replied to my CL ad asking there is any fret buzz after I lowered the action. I took it out to make sure before I got back to him. It plays and sounds so good that I decided that there is just no reason to get rid of it. :)
