I had a couple of guitars that have passed the one-year mark of not being played more than a couple of times. There's some pedals that aren't part of my thing anymore; along with the big-ass Pedaltrain board, I got when I thought this party band thing was going to go.

They're collecting dust and I'm all about whittling down my collection to just the good stuff.

So, say goodbye to my LP Studio, my Edwards Jeff Beck Tele-Gib, an EHX Good Vibes, and the Caroline Megabyte Lo-Fi delay (turns out the Kilobyte is the better-sounding unit).

    Say hello to the Esquire:

Six pounds exactly. The pine body sings like my Kelly Bowery Pine. Nice, big, neck. The Tim Shaw pickup is one of the best I've heard. And there really is a thing about Esquires being different from Teles, just like LP Juniors being different from LP Specials.

The pickup and switching are great- even the "neck" position tone is super usable, if not 100% vintage-correct. Even the neck has some flame and figuring in it!

Hi, I'm a new guy. I played one of these yesterday, and was blown away by the great neck and the outstanding acoustic resonance of it. Didn't have time to plug in, but fell in love none the less!

Beautiful burst on that guitar. I bet that's going to be a keeper.

My Patrick Gentile-built pine-body guitar shares the single pickup and 3-position switching groove with that classic beauty.

Only mine weighs 7 lbs, 7 ounces.
And it's not as pretty as your Fender.

I find the switch wiring makes for a very versatile guitar!

    :)

    Beautiful. Congrats.

Same color I would have got if I had decided to get one.

I could look at that thing all day. That is spectacular. Would love to know the neck radius and profile. Congratulations!

Congrats! I am totally drooling over that and filled with filthy lust.

I have a LPB one on order but it's not expected to arrive until sometime in November. In the meantime I can gaze upon yours and dream what it must feel like to play.
