Sold as a 2012 but looks more like a 2015 to me?

I believe these came with the super thin flash coat finish because there hairline checking all over the body and headstock (looks great i think).

Pretty strange though. So much checking and reliced nickel hardware but frets are like new. Im thinking tjat maybe it was a slide player who had it before?

    Awesome!

I’d like to point out one thing....see that yellowing? We don’t need tinted finishes fender! Stop it!

The only thing a tinted finish is good for is looking unnatural

See! It naturally will happen, be patient

Extremely nice. My dream tele but out of price range 99.99% of the time, unless an insane deal pops up. That's why I'm looking for a 50's classic lacquer. Also proving hard to find and when I do people are wanting too much for them but still less than the 58RI. So I'm in no mans land and stuck. Congratualtions on your new telecaster.

That looks the part very well!

Any shots of the neck? Any flame or figuring?

How about a picture from the bottom edge so we can see grain lines?

I like pics of the front of the headstock, too, showing decal position, string tree, shape of truss rod plug, how the nut looks.

    Come on, man!

Very nice! That's kind of what I was after with the Esquire built in my avitar but I didn't quite hit the mark.

    Nice, and congrats.

I love my burst one. One of the best guitars I've ever owned.

I highly doubt the lack of fret wear had to do with the previous owner/s playing primarily slide. What most likely happened is that one of the owners did some artificial aging.

While the PV parts are still available from Fender, I would take all that aged hardware off and replace it with shiny new hardware, and have your neck plate (with the original serial number) stripped and re-plated. The "Road Worn" style hardware looks hokey as hell, and would certainly devalue the guitar to me, if I was the one shopping. These things age naturally enough on their own, without looking Mickey Mouse, like artificial aging always does. And I'd carefully pull that copper and clean off the adhesive residue too. They were the best reissues Fender ever made, and were only made for five years, so they are on their way to being sought after future collectibles. Keeping them to original specs will matter some day (and they are perfect without mods anyhow, IMO).

Those white blonde 58 RIs are the best looking Teles Fender ever made. Congrats and enjoy.
