Saw it, had to have it:

I'm normally a single coil guy, but this one was way too nice to pass up. And it has coil tapping so it can sound like a single coil if need be.

The technical name for the color is tangerine burst, but I think I'm gonna call it Gritty-burst instead.

    Thanks.

Just here to be the first to point out that it's backwards!

Also, when I saw the pics I thought "Flyers-burst" so I was glad to see you mention Gritty.

You turned me off at the backwards comment. Lefties have heard it. But you redeemed yourself with the Flyers comment. Was toying with the idea of putting Gritty somewhere on it.

My 'lefty' comment is purely a joke. Mostly poking fun at how many times I've seen the same joke here on TDPRI. If you knew me in real life, and heard it face to face, it would have been... equally unfunny.

Very pretty, but the name "Woody" has this ring to it...or "Ginger":D

My mind couldn't process the left handed angle (I'm not very bright). I flipped it.

The pickguard is dressy and bad*sss all in one. The contrast against the chrome pickup covers and trapezoids is very cool. That's a beautiful guitar. Keep the shiny black pickguard!! The neck binding is also classy. The subtle burst looks really nice.

Congratulations. Great guitar. Long may you run!

Congrats. Looks very cool. When you find a good one, it's really hard to go wrong with a Gibson Studio (and it's really not that hard to find a good one, I've found.)

Play it like you stole it.

Love the bound neck!! Add it to that really cool color, and it's a real looker.

These are light, toneful and very versatile workingman's guitars.

    Enjoy!

They must have changed the specs because Studios didn't used to be bound, but it looks great!

I thought this too: 'studio' being a guitar never on stage, and so price kept down by no glitz

I have a 60s studio deluxe I love. Had to play 20 lps to find the right one for me

How about replacing the pickup selector ring (Treble/Rhythm) with one that reads "Gritty/Smooth" or something like that? I've long though of replacing the one in my LP "Junior Special" P90 with one that reads "Badder/Baddest" or something of that ilk...

Oooo I like that idea! I'll have to think of something clever to put on it. Thanks for the tip!
