NGD 2011 Telebration Cabronita

    IMG_0690.JPG IMG_0691.JPG IMG_0692.JPG IMG_0693.JPG Bought this new as a restock on Columbus Day from MF as a Stupid Deal of the Hour for $899. There is only a tiny flaw in the finish. It is USA made with TV Jones pickups. I didn't even know that these existed until right before I bought it.

    I considered buying that, but I don't like Fender's fragile "lacquer" finish.

    I have one of these. Nice guitar but you are right about the fragile finish, the paint falls off just by looking at it. Why did they do this? It seems there's a hard undercoat of a plasticy nature that the nitro doesn't stick to very well. Do you know how they ended up like this?
