New to me anyways. This one has been around the block, and finally made it's way from Austin, TX to Seattle, WA. Those that know me, know I'm obsessive regarding Las Cabronitas...

2009 La Cabronita Especial in black, to go with a white one from the same run.

    I have one also!
I've modded it a bunch, and it's become my current #1 workhorse.
    Great guitars!

That is so nice. I still wonder why Fender doesn’t have this in their product line on a regular basis. It would make sense to have an American made (Professional or Ultra) and an MIM version.
    I think there’s a demand for them.

Hot Cha! my favorite color , I like how streamlined it is, like a black chopper

Got a homemade one in the same color combo - only, mine is loaded with Hilotrons, not Filtertrons...

They do from time to time. As part of my crazed obsession, I picked up a butterscotch MIA model last year...

So I have one from the "Tele-bration" series that has been my #1 for a while, swapped out the TV Jones Classics for Power'Trons and added locking tuners and a push/pull switch for splitting the coils. The finish on that one didn't settle correctly and chips off so very easily.

I'm curious what mods you did to yours?

I know they have them as FSR or special editions but I think they should be in the their product line up all the time as I suggested in my previous post. A Players series and a American Professional or Ultra. That would offer it at two price points. The shouldn't much it up with odd colors and gimmicks. The Cab speaks for itself.
They had a nice one with a rosewood board a year or two ago but it had a painted headstock which is barf inducing to me.

Heck yeah, that's a shredder. You can see it's been played. Give it the lovin' it deserves.

Love this Cab after rewiring it. It came pre-reliced.

I don't disagree at all, I can easily picture the typical Fender variations for a model like this. I modded my '11 to use the features I'd prefer, locking tuners, Gibson style output jack plate. I also prefer the modern hardtail bridges on these, but Fender doesn't seem to want to make/use those anymore (glad I bought a few for backups).

A while back I posted about my "dream guitar" and it's basically a thinline Cabronita.

Sold my original run Le cab car for a bit of sparkle.
    Enjoy.

I moved the pickup selector switch to the top side, like my Chet.
I changed the pickups to to a (TV Jones) Supertron (n) and Classic+ (b).
I installed and countersunk a Hipshot B bender and added a phase switch to the volume control.
I filled the old toggle switch hole with a non functional pot.
I used the stock maple neck for awhile, but I replaced it with an AllParts TRO-Fat, added Sperzel locking tuners (no string tree) and graphite nut.
I plan a few more mostly cosmetic mods.
It's become one of my workhorses.
    Great guitar!

Nice, always great to hear about guitars that become completely unique like that!
