Bucket list guitar for me. Picked up a slightly modded 09 custom shop Nocaster relic. Mods are RS guitar works wiring harness, Glendale compensated saddles and this being an earlier Nocaster it originally had the 7 1/4 radius and vintage frets but has been refretted with 6105 and reradiused to a 10inch. All mods I welcome with open arms.
The guitar plays itself really. The neck is sublime, it's fat but not like some of the baseball bats I've played, sits perfectly in the hands. The pickups sound tremendous, I don't believe they are the twisted teles since the neck is very jazzy and Woody and the bridge is surprisingly full range sounding, lots of low end and highs while still retaining twang. The neck also has a slight Birdseye figuring which is very beautiful. Very light weight at 6.5lbs. it's an incredible guitar and already finding lots of stage time.
    Couldn't be happier

Congratulations to you. I bet it is wonderful to bag the one you want and have your mods already done for you. Result!

Exactly! Sometimes it's just right for you. I know the newer ones already have this done for the most part but I love the vibe of the older ones plus whoever did the refret did a beautiful job. Very happy

Jeez, I need to stop looking at these threads...

    Lovely guitar, congrats!

If you want specifics on the pickups (and everthing else) email the serial number to consumerrelations@fender.com, and ask for a full spec sheet and shop floor traveler.

Even quicker, call their customer service and they’ll email it right away. Just did it yesterday with a couple of used CS gits I just picked up.

Nice! I have a 2009 CS 51 Nocaster heavy relic. According to my shop traveler, it originally came with a 9.5 inch radius and the 6105 jumbo frets. This one has Abby wound and signed pups which sound wonderful. Plus the two cases! Enjoy your new guitar.
