NGD 1990 Strat Deluxe Plus mint with case candy

    Can't believe I found this in near mint condition with all the case candy included. had to drive up a very winding dirt road but was rewarded with a great guitar and got to meet a real cool cat 'Ron' guitar player, builder, amp guy kinda like the rest of us, not really sure what I liked more the guitar or the conversation. 1990 Strat Deluxe Plus Red/Silver/Blue lace pickups, schaller lockers, hipsot trem adjuster, strap, pop in trem bar plus a shorty that Ron made himself, and all of the original candy.

    Congrats! That one's a real time capsule piece; always liked these in the natural finish (so they are solid ash). What's the weight like on this one?

    Its 3 pieces solid ash, I haven't weighed but Im sure its north of 9 lbs.

    Nice looking guitar and it looks very well kept.

    I bought a used EJ Strat in Feb off Reverb and had the same experience with the seller, super nice guy from Vermont, we ended up chatting for over an hour on the phone about all sorts of stuff.

    That's probably not to bad for that era. I remember the weights of the typical Plus Deluxe ash veneers over alder varying widely in weight - some being reasonably light others being heavier than the solid ash ones. Of course we're talking memories from 30 years ago here.:oops:
