I recently bought this Japanese Squier Telecaster back off of the person I sold it to about 10 years ago. I originally purchased it about 15 years ago. Having done some research, it appears to be quite an early one as it still has the serial number stamped on the neck plate rather than the bridge. From memory, I think there's a pencil date on the end of the neck. I'll have another look when I get the chance.
I was never much a fan of the neck as it's a bit thinner than I usually like, but my tastes have changed somewhat and it's much better than I remember. It's an incredibly resonant guitar and in great condition for its 40+ years. I'll be keeping it this time!
