Just wanted to share something that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. It's an all-original (other than a recent refret) maple cap 1967 Telecaster, which has pretty quickly become one of my favorite guitars. I happened to have an original ashtray (which I didn't notice wasn't all the way on until a couple of pics in), so it's really complete now. There's not all that much to say except that it's just amazing. I intended for this to replace my 1973 Telecaster Custom, but I'm just not sure I can part with it. They make a great pair!

    Here are the goods...

Nice. Love the honest wear on that thing. That takes me back.

The first Telecaster I ever held as a kid was a '67 in that color with the factory Bigsby.

That's really pretty. I had a late-60s blonde Tele that I played in bar & dance bands through most of the 70s. Just the sweetest, easiest playing guitar I ever owned. Great for slide too via a Twin Reverb. Congrats.

Very nice! Nicely worn but still treated with care! Congratulations! Looks like my 71 although mine obviously is Poly finished and has worn differently....

    That's lovely.
    Beautiful fading on the body.
Looks so playable. What are the pickups like in terms of output and tone with reference to current Fender pickups? Iast time I played a 70s Tele was in the 80s and I thought it quite hard and bright.

Real Beauty. I've noticed that some guitars from this era (my '66 included) have thicker head stocks. Based on photo above, it appears your guitar may share that feature.
