yes, I also promise put some new strings on her - correctly! I haven't even heard her yet - I know, its crazy, but I have a very good feeling! (Don't worry the dates inside are all good etc)
As soon as she is in the door and set up, I'll do really detailed pics inside and out... and even a sound clip or two.
I kinda hope she still has the blender style wiring.

Wow, I am absolutely blown away by all the amazing responses. Thanks so much. Cant wait to share more details asap. I think I may have just found a new home amongst the equally afflicted... this is my 5th Tele and surely final - haha famous last words I know. (I've kept two others for now).

Has anyone informed the OP of our very rigid Probationary Policy--the one that requires him to circulate such an item for each TDPRI member's perusal, for up to 60 days? Via last names' alphabetical order, with postage handled by the sender.

Since our family name means "Aardvark" in the world's oldest language, I'll be glad to start. (Elder Aaron, our progenitor, was a proud and prolific man.) So, in humble homage to the process, y'all, who's after me?

Dear Mr Elegante, sprout of Aaron, friend of Leo,
OK. Roolz is roolz. I hate probation.
Do I just mail it to: 'too far from Canada' or do you have a more specific location? Let us know here, because all members of TDPRI are cordially invited to a party at your place, just for 60 days and nights.
    kind regards, the OP.
PS I went with Aadvark, because Aardvark wasn't available when I joined the Martin forum in the dark ages. On earth, I am Neil.

She arrived safe yesterday afternoon. I see what the fuss is about. She's a keeper.
I played all night! Playability, tone and response and comfort. Already feeling at home.
Wow! What can I say... Never played a more versatile guitar - jazz, blues, rock, country, finger style, hybrid, etc... even my weird contemporary stuff!
As promised, a few pix below. She's not perfect, but all the electrics work well, has the tone knob wiring not the 'fader' pot. (good). Got Ernie Ball 10-52s on. Beautiful neck, a delight to play, Tadeo Gomez special! Dates check out. Sounds amazing clean, but overdriven also spectacular. I am blessed, and very grateful. Gotta go play some more. Ah, the joy of a new instrument which challenges us to be better! 57587750512__AD813CEF-AEEB-4295-9C0C-CE8CEEFF33D8.JPG 57587751673__F2BDC2C4-F6A0-4B9B-BA19-3DF1DACFAA7E.JPG 57587849864__A96A18D8-703B-41F8-A0EE-4A24A59493BB.JPG 57587905109__8FAF648C-095A-4CFD-882E-008D84CED600.JPG 57587995808__F75F5B61-D028-45C2-80B3-135179C91E80.JPG 57588001528__BD11F219-D45C-41EA-8132-1D516B85255B.JPG 57589825935__31BB7496-A508-47A7-9215-24B6020E6657.JPG 57591259916__68D2B095-6ACA-4BBD-BBDE-24E82C93D901.JPG 57595804923__42EE0C2F-BD4C-49B1-8A3A-20F363DED2C2.JPG IMG_5489.JPG

Certainly a 52 classic Neil congratulations!........

How is the bridge PU?........it appears to have flatish surfaced pole pieces which surprised me....

Derek............... [makes my 1970 tele just a baby]

re. the bridge poles: my understanding is that on a '52 the poles are flat, unlike later models. It is a wonderful pup, warmer than some and versatile; and very usable for a lots of stuff, sounds great with some OD.

Yes the poles are flat until late 55. My '55 has a flat pole and it's delicious

I think I hate you, and I don't even know you!

Just kidding - that's the find of a lifetime. I hope you treasure her as she deserves.

Beautiful! How’s the neck feel? Looks nice and fat (hard to tell from pic). Congratulations on a really sweet guitar!
