Just picked up a 2015 Fender FSR Special Edition Telecaster in excellent condition.
I have been scouring Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and Reverb for a while now for a new Tele since I sold my G&L ASAT.
It has some really nice features. Fat neck, reversed control plate, light weight ash body.
Already have a few goodies on the way to dress her up a bit. We’ll save those details for later though.
I do plan on adding compensated brass saddles as I am a nitpick for correct intonation (suggestions?).

I think they called it an FSR Deluxe Ash. Not sure why 'Deluxe' tho.

    Mine...

There was a long thread about them a few days ago that turned into a huge slagging match.

Very nice guitar! It's nice when your search for something yields such good results. Enjoy it!

    I like them.

Here's mine, before and after I swapped the control plate.

I just could not get used to the reversed controls.
I played my Deluxe Nashville for too many years...

I put compensated saddles on mine,
but give me a bit and I'll try to remember which ones....

    Old guy memory....

Oh yeah... I got the Callaham brass saddles.
    Like them very much. :)

I owned one for a few years and liked it a lot. Mine did not have a fat neck by any means though..

I went to GC a few years ago to buy my dream guitar, a Gibson 335. As I was waiting for the sales guy to find the case in the back room I pulled a MIM special run Tele off the wall and loved it. I walked out with the Gibson but I went back to GC a few more times over the next year and played that same Tele. I bought it a year later. The Gibson is long gone, the Tele has been modified a bunch, even painted Surf Green and I will never sell it, it remains my favorite guitar.

Looks fat to me. But I am used to thin style necks - could just be my perception.
