How will Johnny F do in start #2?

Poll closed Dec 22, 2014.
  1. He'll play significantly better... a TD or two, and maybe only one pick

  2. He can't possibly play worse... he has to play a little better than his first outing.

  3. As hard as it is to believe, he'll be as bad as his first start, maybe even worse.

He should have a better day. They are playing against a weaker team.Might even get his first win.I think it was a bad move to play him last week against the Bengals.

I thonk he laid an egg and embarrassed himself last week. He has too much pride to do it twice. I look for him to settle down and play a solid game.

I'm in the 'will play a little better' camp. No way he could be that bad two weeks in a row.

    I mean, he can't... right?

Yeah, a little better. Probably a toss-up on who wins though.

It's not all Johnny; Hoyer is a decent quarterback, but when receivers do not complete routes and developed "greasy fingers" when trying to catch, even the most competent quarterback will look bad. A lack of support will chip the confidence of any quarterback. Great ones will soldier on and still be good; we have not had a great quarterback in Cleveland for years. Brian Sipe played well, but he had support. Bernie Kosar had his moments - both good and bad.

I am not big on the Browns (or football for that matter), but I am fed up with the Johnny Football mania in this area. He was a college prodigy, but his college game does not translate to pro ball. It will take a few years to change his game style and maturing to see if he becomes good; I doubt he will ever rise to the level of the pedestal the hype has put him on.

Tough spot for Johnny to be in. He needs to calm his [backside] down, play the game, and stop his stupid partying ways.

Maybe a bit better, but I am among those who doubt he can do to NFL defenses what he did to college defenses. They read, scheme and close better and faster. Enough to make quite a difference.

His career may not end today, but an ever increasing number of fans will know that he was only drafted by Browns so his hype could increase ticket sales for this year.

Johnny or any other QB can never be effective until their O line/backs can block well enough to give him a look downfield. It's not Johnny vs the Panthers it's the Browns vs the Panthers.

3 for 8 for 32 yards, w/ a QBR of 50, before he got squashed (like a little bug) and left the game. Injury report says hamstring.

So as poor as that was, it actually was better than the previous week.

But IMO, certainly not ready for prime time.

Put me down as staunchly anti Johnny Football. I literally face-palmed when the Browns took him in the draft.

Guy does not now, nor will he ever, have the cranial wattage to be a successful NFL QB. No matter what the O line or receiving corps does. He just doesn't have the skill set to play at this level, and he doesn't have the brains to learn it.

    Enormous. Waste. Of. Money.

there was talk of...can johnnys body hold up in the nfl...well after two starts he gets hurt...hamstring...not sure if thats the actual injury but that what was said yesterday...one game left...is his injury bad enough not to play him...do we have to wait till next year and have him start to see how far into the season he can make it without injury...is the talk of johnny not lasting in the league due to him not being able to handle the hits which leads to career ending injury going to happen...hmmm...what if he has a lasting career...we see soon enough

Johnny flash in the pan will be history in Cleveland soon enough. Makes me long for the days of Brian Sipe.
