I sometimes read the descripitions of the injuries in the official reports released weekly by the NFL and think the average guy would not even be able to make it through one single play from scrimmage without getting badly hurt...like if you actually had participate in the play and not just curl up on the ground and hide at the snap.

Yea but they had Chubb double teamed. He got yardage but no TDs.

Tomlin chose a passing play, even at that late stage. Garrett still wanted to pad his stats. Rudolph took offense, even though Garrett didn't land on him with all his body weight- and started yanking at Garrett's helmet. Garrett did that job properly- and Rudolph came back for more, even though two of his linemen were engaged with Garrett.
Garrett deserves a suspension, as does Pouncey, the 'footballer'. Why no down time for Rudolph, who immediately started playing the innocent?

That's absolutely true. I worked with a former college football player who played defense, he weighed 325, wasn't fat, and could bench 450lbs. What exactly does an ordinary guy think he can do with a guy like that? Fortunately he was a good natured guy, but man if he had of had a temper, I would have steered clear of him big time.

Exactly. And even THAT guy didn't advance to play professional tackle football. Some of the NFL players I have met face to face...I honestly did not realize people could be that big.

Your point was often expressed by my friend, he said exactly that, he was big enough, and tough enough, but didn't have that extra something that it takes to go on from where he was at. He sure was handy to have around the work twenty though, he could pick up just about anything that needed picking up. It seemed like his arms could have easily been legs!

I don't recall the comissioner ever reacting as fast as he did on that brawl.

They had to, they simply could not allow the players to set a precedent of blowing up on the field. Eventually someone would die. Then the NFL and the WWF would have to reveal once and for all that they are serious partners.

I just saw Tom Brady spike the ball on second down because no one was open. Shouldn’t that be intentional grounding!!!! WTH!!

The Browns have Nick Chubb and have won 2 straight. Too bad The Ravens are in the same division.

    Thursday Night Football!

The 6-4 Colts at the 6-4 Texans. I'll go with Houston by 3.

You sure enough called it! Pretty good game, not a real fan of either team, but I thought it was a good game. For a change, it was pretty hard to tell which team the officials had money on.
