    I had bought a new car and it had a rattle in the passenger door, that drove me crazy. I took it apart and found a bolt. There was a note tied to bolt, that said, how long did it take to find this? Bored Chev employee I guess.

    In the UK they are just known as leads, maybe someone thought this was how you got 'a lead guitar sound', I get my coat!

    I've seen people do some strange things to their guitars in general and telecasters in particular, and this is one of them.
