    Hi-

I learned about this site on the Dr.Z forum and I'm way impressed!

I'm sure this has probably been addressed before over and over, but any advice on a tele kit? I've seen the posts regarding Saga, Griz, etc...

Honestly...I probably should not even attempt to assemble/build a guitar, but I got it bad to try to do so..

Anyone try a Torres kit? Any advice is appreciated!

I suggest you order one of the SX Tele copies from Rondo Music. When it arrives, take it apart. There's your kit. It's already painted and a good paint job at that. When you get it put back together, it will be a better guitar than the Saga or Grizzly kits......... and cost less.

    Hey Duane,

    Welcome on board.

Don't let the old hands put you off. If your anything like me it's not about the money it's about standing back at the end of the day and saying "I built that". You'll learn a few things building a kit and you get to finish it exactly how you want.

I'm building a Saga atm, although it's hit a bit of a wall at the moment because I've been fitting a new kitchen. I'd agree some of the components are poor but they can be upgraded fairly cheaply.

    Check out my thread

I'm hoping to get back to it soon!
