For the last couple of years I was playing with friends on a big party organised by my madam and her sister at their place (which contains a former carpenter workshop).
But said sister passed away in November, so we were all in somber mood.
Just dinner, red wine and a glass of champagne at midnight this year. As you can imagine, 2019 sucked big time.
Let's all have a great 2020 - I'm going to get out and play great music as often as I can, call those who are dear to me and tell them how much they mean to me.

Currently I'm a little bit more than tipsy at the local time of 1:40 and about to fall asleep. But in general Im seeing my family which is a rare occasion for me so Im enjoying catching up with the chaos.

    Happy new year!

Home alone, wait, isn’t that a movie? ;) Staying up for the calendar change, no sleepyheads allowed, here.

It’s about a 50 inch flat screen with Netflix on, and might put a dvd in the player.

Definitely WILL sip adult beverages from the fridge, and plug an electric guitar in, and practice on the big sofa!

4 hours left of this year, almost time for the countdown.

I tried out my new Chrismas present and the family will stay in this NYE.

Even though Stevie Nicks, Keith Urban, and even Frampton are playing downtown tonight.

I'm too old for that crowd, but all's well when you have ribs.

Playing guitar, reading stuff here, watching the festivities on TV and petting a ginormous lap cat.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year. Years past I worked it as it payed double time. Since the liver episode opened, I’ve spent it at home.
Tonight we made gringo tacos. Wife is watching Netflix, I’m trying my hand at putting a fuzz kit together. I haven’t soldered in well over a decade.
    See ya next year.

Doing everything we can to have a great holiday with the kids who are are home from work and college.

It’s been civilized and respectful. I’m soon to complete the divorce process.

The kids are great. Work is great. My 86 year old mom is doing great.

Looking forward to 2020 with hope and enthusiasm and encouragement.

On the lighter side we had king crab legs and steak at home tonight and we’re watching a whacky Netflix series with a big fire in the fireplace. We got snow last night and I woke up and cleared the driveway for an hour on the tractor this morning.

At some point I felt it would be honest and necessarily to say something. I talk about the family too much. This place (TDPRI) is special. Let’s not bring this up anymore in this thread.

Happy new year to all of you.

    John

It's 10:30 here. Browsing back and forth between facebook, youtube and here, sipping my gin and flavored carbonated water as I do every night before bed. No work tomorrow so I might stay up until 11. Hoping the fireworks at midnight don't wake me up!

One day at a time, indeed. I hope 2020 brings much better days to you, and your sister.

I'm staying home, just like every year. Have the DAW fired up and will be spending the bulk of the evening goofing around with some ideas that I've been fleshing out.
