Hello everyone. I am new to the tele forum and forums in general. I just wanted to introduce myself and also seek some advice on a problem I am having making cables (see below). I have a 90s MIJ tele and a 00's MIM strat. The issue I am having is I can't get my patch cables to work correctly. I am using GLS pancake connectors and Mogami 2319 cable. I think I am somehow shorting either the connector or the wire out when I am soldering them (I am still new to soldering). I connected the wires up dry using alligator clips to hold the wires in place and everything sounds good, but once I solder them all hell breaks loose. I am getting dinosaur noise coming out of my amp from the soldered cables. I have soldered some other cables using Neutrik connectors and they have come out awesome, so I am completely lost as to what I could be doing wrong. Any advice would be awesome.
