Hey everyone-
So, I'm new to the forum, telecasters and electrics as I said. I have been playing guitar for a minute but have only ever owned classical and steel string acoustics. Whenever I got around to going electric, there was never any doubt that it would be a telecaster. I cant really explain why except to say that whenever I was in the crowd at a show and was stuck by tone that I really liked, more often than not I looked up to see a telecaster on stage. So, I just recently acquired one, sans neck. Is the neck size standardized? I haven't taken an exact measurement yet. Also I don't know the maker of the body I purchased. Dude told be it was a fender made in USA but he was simply passing along what was told to him. With the neck missing is there any way to know? It certainly appears to be decent quality(but what do I know) with binding, a split maple top and koa (?) body. Has anyone ever seen one like that? Anyway Im happy with the deal I got whatever it turns out to be and am exciting about getting it put together.
Thanks for having me

Welcome to the forum! Beauty! There are many neck manufactures such as Warmoth that publish the dimensions of their necks. Most used Fender as a sort of standard. Here are a few after market replacement neck and body manufactures:
Well, Fender
Warmoth (my personal fave)
Mighty Mite
Tone Bomb
USA Customs
All Parts
There are many more. These would be considered the usual suspects. People will be along shortly to add to this list no doubt. If you haven’t already, drop by

Other T-Types and Partscasters

for info, help and opinions than you will ever need! Cool stuff going on in there!

Hi ya, welcome aboard..:)

neck pocket doesn't look fender... the distance from the butt to the first set of holes looks too long, it should be 5/8" to the holes and the pocket 3" deep front to back...... the tilt fitting looks a bit different too..

could be a G&L?..

Welcome pplscourier 🙋🏻‍♂️ Nice looking body! The scalloped upper body is particularly nice. Doesn't look like a Fender Tele body tho. Maybe it is a G&L like was mentioned. Best wishes on finishing it up & welcome again 🙂

Thanks for the welcome everybody! I continued this thread under the title "any thoughts on who made this" I didnt think anyone would respond to the new member introductions, I was wrong. Much like the gentleman who sold this to me claiming it came from fender in the 90s. Haha!
