Hey everyone-
So, I'm new to the forum, telecasters and electrics as I said. I have been playing guitar for a minute but have only ever owned classical and steel string acoustics. Whenever I got around to going electric, there was never any doubt that it would be a telecaster. I cant really explain why except to say that whenever I was in the crowd at a show and was stuck by tone that I really liked, more often than not I looked up to see a telecaster on stage. So, I just recently acquired one, sans neck. Is the neck size standardized? I haven't taken an exact measurement yet. Also I don't know the maker of the body I purchased. Dude told be it was a fender made in USA but he was simply passing along what was told to him. With the neck missing is there any way to know? It certainly appears to be decent quality(but what do I know) with binding, a split maple top and koa (?) body. Has anyone ever seen one like that? Anyway Im happy with the deal I got whatever it turns out to be and am exciting about getting it put together.
Thanks for having me
