    Hi

I do hope that you are all safe and healthy.
Today I have received three hippie style straps, hand made by a guy in France. Amazing work, good price and a pleasure to deal with (no affiliation).

I have put the green one on my classic series 60s because of the mint green pickguard (in the pic it seems white but it is the original one) and the blue on my new epi les paul special. The third one is brown, red and yellow and will go with my gibson lp junior (when this crazy situation is over I will hopefully get it).

Hope you'll like them, please feel free to post your preferred straps if you wish :)

    Cheers.

Very nice pair of straps (and guitars.) I have the same Classic 60s with a Couch strap. IMG_1924.jpeg

I like the idea of giving the one-man-operation a little work, at this time- and I'd find a place for the green strap, on the Tele, no problem.….

Congrats on supporting a small gear company. Grandma pie vs Walmart pie.

Thanks guys. Yes, he's a very nice guy and I was really happy to deal with him, especially in this period :)

Very nice! I love those seatbelt type straps but they're a bit narrow for me unless it's a super light guitar - I do have a couple of Souldier ones I use with my Danelectros.

I have a unique one for my main gigging guitar (well, remember when we played gigs?!), just a cheap vegan leather thing but I've been sewing patches onto it. I like having a strap no-one one else does!

I dig them. Reminds me of my first strap. Yellow, white, and black. Inexpensive. I just quickly chose one from the local mom and pop shop. Years later, I saw it on the back cover of Derek & the Dominos album.

    Nice story and strap!
Te guy I bought them from makes quitté good repros of old straps used by the great guitarists.
I don't remember the two I have poster which guitarist are linked to, bit the third has been used by Keef.

I love hippie straps, they are so deeply linked to the 60s and 70s..

Sweet hippie straps. The last three I purchased were leather from Walker and Williams off Reverb. They are pretty nice.

Cool, but...be careful, especially if you normally leave staps on in a case or gig bag. I still have an old strap like that with the metal buckle. The first time one of those metal buckles takes a bite out of the finish on your guitar, you're gonna wish you'd just bought a couple of the Ernie Ball jacquard straps with their plastic hardware, instead.

    Thanks for the tip.
Actually I leave my less expensive guitars in the guitar stand, so I am quite confident that the buckle won't harm the finish. I'll keep this in mind BTW, should I see some wear or whatever mark, I will take them off :)
