So I bought a Squier Mustang Bass that has serious neck-dive issues.
I thought long and hard about this for several weeks.
I read posts from others claiming to have fixed it.
The suggestions didn't work so I tried something new. 3 lbs of lead attached to the back of the body. It's heavy, but it works.
Then I came up with an even a better solution!
This bass is so much nicer than the Squier. It balances on the strap, it sounds terrific all over the neck, (my Squier has some dead spots) and has killer variety of sounds. $200, and it's in mint condition. Woo hoo!
Ain't got no stinkin' neck-dive, grippy straps, lead sheets, oddly placed strap buttons, light tuners, single sound pickups, or funky rod extensions coming out of the upper strap mount hole. This bass just works exactly as is. Looking forward to rehearsal!
