2.5 liter, 165 hp, 163 lbs of torque. 90% of that torque is there at 2500 rpm, with max torque at 4000.
It's a relatively low rev engine that redlines at 6500, so as such, you don't need to look very far to tap into that power, it makes it everywhere.
I traded in my BMW R18, as well as my Triumph Thruxton to be able to swing this deal, but I'm good with paring down the four bikes I had to two, so it's now the Rocket 3 and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

Sheesh, that sounds like a pretty respectable car/compact pickup power and torque curve.
For comparison, our 1998 Toyota T-100 farm beater pickup has the 3.4L 5VZ-FE engine, a DOHC 24–valve V6 that looks like something out of a mid-engine Eye-talian job but is in fact tuned for modest output and wide, flat torque curve.
It makes 193 hp @ 4,800 rpm and 220 ft. Lb at 3,600 rpm, but even that is misleading. It’s mostly all there by 3,000, going by feel and revving it much past 3,500 feel like increased noise output but you might as well short shift it.
Your new bike is kind of like half of that motor, though more than half the displacement, and look how little difference there is in the output! Seems like it might not matter what gear you selected to launch in! That must be a trip to ride.
