I built a partscaster a year or two ago using a Classic 60’s body and an AllParts neck (TRO-Fat I think? Whatever the fat one with the rosewood board is called...). I’ve been wanting something with some Filtertrons, so I picked up a pair of TV Jones’ “blemished” Classics at a guitar show this past year (if they’re really blemished I can’t see where; apparently Gretsch QC is real finicky), a WD pickguard and a bridge plate, also from TV Jones. Had it routed and rewired with 500k pots, and just got it back today. Haven’t even had a chance to plug it in yet, but it looks so pretty to me I had to share anyway. Here’s s couple before and afters.

Yeah teletimetx, imagining it my head initially, that’s the last color scheme I’d think I’d like, but after seeing a few on TDPRI I really came around to that color combination.

Just a quick update....this guitar sounds great. I’d played some filtertron Teles before, but you never know how one particular guitar will really sound till it’s put together. This one met all my expectations and then some.

This guitar had pretty much been relegated to back up duty. It’s going to see a lot more use going forward.

    Now I’m debating on a bigsby ....
