New project! Black or white pickguard?

I have this new project, the neck is Luthier made, is maple and the black parts are ebony. The body is made from a guy in France, nitro relic 2 tones sunburst

Do you think it would look better a black or white pickguard?

If you choose white then cream pearloid but the single-ply black would look fantastic.

I've been toying with the idea of putting a black or Tort WD brand guard on my relic as pictured below. Can't decide, so the stock relic remains.

If the headstock weren't black I'd say parchment or cream. Since it is black I'd go with a black pickguard to match.

VA flag on my relic, I do believe, more gray and butternut fell on VA soil than any other, plus that's where I began and where I will fall. Sic Semper Tyrannis.

That just might be the touch that's missing?

On that burst of the OP nothing but black triple thick solid black with a rounded edge if they can afford it.

Black MOTS or -very- dark tortoise.
The best thing is to buy a few different colours and try them out/swap them out. If nothing else, you have a reason to own more guitars, because it'd simply be a shame to let those 'plates go unused.

The relic looks perfect IMO. Black would ruin it.
