Just finished putting this one together. My take on a 65 Strat. MJT pine body, fender American original 60’s neck, Seymour Duncan antiquity II surfer pickups, fender pure vintage hardware. Obviously the body came as a relic so the hardware had to match.

Looks great! White, mint green pickguard, and rosewood neck is my favorite combo. See avatar.

Thanks guys, I’ve got quite a few strats now. Just picked up a ash body 2 tone sunburst for another build while I was waiting on parts for this one.

The body came relic’d so just slightly rock tumbled the metal parts and acid smoked the saddles and screws.

I also wired this one with a blender pot so that I can blend in the neck or bridge pickup depending on where the switch is. It’s actually really usable

sweet guitar, but I got to admit, I was little surprised to see a Strat in a "pinecaster" thread. :)

That's a great look. I've been pining after some pine for a while now, after spotting this stunning specimen:

It's a sweet combination indeed. But why is it that it doesn't look quite as good on a Telecaster?

Yes a pine Strat is kind of odd but there’s a few floating around, even the custom shop has put out a few.

If I didn’t know any better, I would think it was an actual 1965 Strat. You did a great job!

Looks great! You got a nice green pickguard, too (so many of them are the wrong shade of green).

Thanks and yes the pickguard is spot on. I wish I knew the brand of it. I bought it as a loaded pickguard that came with fender custom shop ancho pickups.

Definitely not the pickguard that would have come with those pickups if removed from the actual poblano Strat. It looks vintage but I don’t think it is.
