Bootstraps came in! Unfortunately won’t be installed until tomorrow.

tomorrows a big day. I go see a elbow specialist (for my blown up elbow lol) Soo gonna run the guitar and pickups by the shop for install. Then head into the Dallas area for the appointment. But excited. This will complete the telecaster (t style) build.

And the first REAL step to correcting my elbow. Up til now it’s been “yup. You ****ed it up good” and pain pills. So excited to get the ball actually rolling

Nice! I just did a post and videos about my new Bootstraps the other day.

Hope this build gives you incentive to play and get that elbow back in shape. Sending prayers that they can correct whatever the issue is and that the guitar will help you on your journey back, both as motivation and as an escape.

thanks man! I can play a little. Have to stand up and sling my strap low like I did playing metal 10 years ago haha. Sitting down it creates too much of a angle to get my wrist around. It’s sad. So sling it low kinda like Keith Richards. So I can angle the neck to a more comfortable position. So it’s not bad. I’m just ready to finish the build. Been over a year now. Between life and having to fix mistakes.

And yea, elbow sucks. It’s been a long process of nothing. Tomorrow actually marks a month. So it’s frustrating that it’s taken so long to finally take real action. But workers comp works slow. At least I’m getting paid. So I’m excited. Not too much about the 45 min drive. But hey. Gotta do what I gotta do.

I’ve said it before in other posts and updates about it. But thank you. And everyone else. It does help to have someone to vent fears and worries too. I don’t have much of a circle of friends. As I get older I realize 4 quarters beats the hell out of 100 pennies any day. I don’t do social media (unless this counts) so it’s nice to be in touch with other musicians. Who apparently a great deal of them have went through injuries pretty similar to mine. So thank y’all!

I’ll post pics of the finished guitar tomorrow (I’ve dropped a few pics here and there along the way) as well as what the specialist says!

I just put that set in a Tele a few weeks ago. Trust me - you’re going to be thrilled with them! Vintage hot is a perfect description.
