my white guard on my 63 custom shop just seemed too boring.
I wanted the guitar to stand out.
especially since it's phenomenal tonally, probably the best guitar I've ever played.
So I wanted to dress it up a little bit.

Several emails with PearlVibe in Germany, to match the Sherwood green,
here's what we came up with
    Paua Green Abalone custom pickguard.
    I absolutely think it's perfect.
It's so alive, every change in the angle of light
    it's literally come to life.
3 different angles 3 different light sources.

    I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I'm overjoyed.:lol::D

Abalone and a green guitar! You've got the best! (I'm partial to green guitars for some reason. Extra mojo or something. :))

Good looking pickguard Irondog. I was looking on Reverb this evening for a replacement pickguard for my CS Tele. During the 2 hours of looking at about 4,000 listings I don't recall seeing an Abalone pickguard. Are they only available outside the USA? Are they expensive and how long to get one once ordered.

    Thanks

Nice. Do they have it for a humbucker equipped? That would look good with my Sea Foam Pearl.

Didnt think I was going to like it, but that looks great. Scratchplate goes well with a dark colour.

That really looks good! I bet that would look nice on a black body as well.

yes, he's not high-volume as each pick guard is handmade, so he can custom make almost anything. He collects exotic natural abalone's and pieces them together like a jigsaw puzzle.

The post below is correct the link is pearlvibe guitars.
it was $120. Which seems absolutely fair for such exotic beauty and handcrafting artwork.

Thanks for all the nice comments.
