So if you followed my previous post a month or two back https://www.tdpri.com/threads/the-family-piano.1078987/ You may remember there was a piano that needed getting rid of. A magnificent Steinway upright grand from 1901 to be precise. It belonged to my wife's grandma and she passed away so her kids wanted to sell it. My wife's mom already had a piano, but she decided to take it in, rather than sell it. So I got to move that beast out of one house, down the street to its new home. My wife didn't want her mom to be stick with two pianos so she decided we would take her mom's piano. I wasn't very excited at first, because who wants a piano? They're great...but they are not light or easy to move. But she got rid of her China hutch to make room upstairs in the living room. As soon as we I played it I changed my mind though. It's a great piano! I don't reckon myself to be a piano player by any means, but I have a good ear and I can dink around. But my six month old son loves hearing music, so I'm excited to add piano to the instruments I play for him and expand his mind musically. So the TLDR version is I have a new piano. And an unintended bonus of this is I also have a new music room! The upstairs living room.
