Just checked the King of Tone waiting list and I am 1 year away from getting a King of Tone, assuming a day-for-day production schedule.

Most likely a little longer, but still, people getting them now signed up one year before me. Feels so close now!!!

If you don’t mind me asking what does one cost new (let’s say the basic model)

I checked them on reverb and the cheapest one was 450 or so with some priced over 700

By the thread title I was sure this would be about a delay.

    Happy NPD to come.

I think they are ~$250 new, but I am not sure - someone on here just got one within the last few weeks, so they could probably answer better than I. The aftermarket ones are nuts, but people are paying it apparently.

I know one of the members from japan got one with the works
I’m not sure anyone asked in their thread about cost

    Maybe they will show up

If it’s around 200-300 that’s not bad as far as “special” pedals although that’s my upper limit

    Congrats! (I guess?)

King of Tone costs $265 new. There are a lot of add-on options for more money (higher gain is $10 per side, four jacks instead of two so you can use it with true-bypass loopers, external switch instead of internal dip switch, etc.). I think they're a great value.

I got on the wait list in February 2019, so I'm probably about a year out, too.

I used to have a King of Tone but stupidly traded it away for a handpainted Fuzz Factory and some other fun stuff. Now I use a Prince of Tone and a Turbo Rat in its place. It works ok for me, but I'll be glad to have a King of Tone again when I can.
