As things open up I've been planning to downsize the pedal board for both my bass and my guitar, here is the homemade journey. For my build I needed space for 4 pedals. I already owned the pedals and the power supply so I had to purchase 1 1X2 trim board, they come 6' length, 1 1X3" trim board, small box of deck screws, cable guides, Velcro, can of spray paint, and 2 kitchen cabinet handles. All wood cuts sawn with a cheapo plastic miter box/saw and I hand sanded the edges. And I glued before I screwed so it is strong enough I can stand on it. Total cost under $25, total time not including paint drying, under 30 minutes. Anybody can do this. You can make the 1X3 top deck as wide as you need and can add a 3rd row if you need to have 2 rows of pedals. Here are the rough cuts. Note I'm doing this instead of raking leaves. A layout to make sure I did "OK". Assembling the brackets, they are as wide as the board, as wide as you choose. Drilled for the handle before paint. It's gonna be black. Is black a color or the absence of color? Screwed and glued. Neat underside because that's like your closet or your garage, the part you can't see should be as clean as the part you can see. Who's with me on that? Top coming together. EBS flat patch cables FTW.
