Until a few years ago, where I work I used to write and direct an annual "adult" pantomime for charity. The staff would perform it in our main conference hall, there would be much ribaldry, carousing, and imbibing, and all hell would generally break loose. This painting is based on a quieter moment, in make-up, before a performance. Hope you like it. I'm also pleased that I found an opportunity just now to use the word ribaldry, not to mention carousing.
