Great paintings! I love them all, but the one where he's looking on with the boxing gloves up is my favorite, just because it's up close and personal. I think it also captures a certain spirit that is really great because the subject is engaging with the audience. I know there are reasons why this isn't the case in the other work, but this one just spoke to me. He seems be be playfully saying "Come at me!"

Yes, and in the context of a painting, where someone has gone to the trouble of preserving that moment in a significant way, it's as if he's saying: "Come at me, life!"

Looks amazing hemingway! That's when a convenient 'copy and paste' would be nice, LOL.

This set of paintings reminds me of that Meryl Streep movie 'Sofa's Choice'
