This is based on an old photo I took of my son in Greenwich in London, outside the National Maritime museum.

One day I will run out of old photos of my son and my art career will come to a complete standstill. I'll try to carry on, like Dr Feelgood without Wilko . . . but it won't be quite the same.

You never cease to amaze me. This one is more simplistic but on a grand scale, if that makes sense

    Thanks.

Yes, I didn't quite realise the issues until I started it - all those lines leading to the vanishing point, and that pesky iron fence with all those geometric shapes.

    That looks awesome

I think I spy a profile of Abe Lincoln in one of the middle window panes

That could be your niche! Hidden treasures!

I saw that but couldn’t place just an odd shadow. it. It does look like Lincoln

I'm gonna change it so it's Warren Zevon.

If you play guitar like you paint I'll be really sick...
Seriously, that is brilliant. Have you ever thought of taking commissions or selling your work, as there would definitely be buyers out there.
    I'm impressed.

Many thanks - my stuff is on Bandcamp (see link below), but honestly more people seem to like my painting than my songs.

I sell things occasionally, and I should try harder. When I'm broke or I am finally drowning in paintings I'll have to.

hemingway, and his other artistic posts, verges on advertising. One only has to contact him through conversations and negotiate a sales price.
I build many good quality Telecaster? partscasters but showing them would be the same way of subtle advertising.
I admire his work but I have a neighbour who paints but does not display his works on a worldwide forum. ( For the record, I prefer my neighbours natural scenic paintings).

Impressive. You’ve encapsulated youth! My partner says you can almost feel the warmth of the sun.

Does adding a Bandcamp link to my signature count as advertising?

    Relax, man

Absolutely remarkable as always. I love your painting style as well as the themes you choose to paint.

But tell us all what we really want to know .... was your son able to get the shot off????
