Yet another painting based on an old photo of my son, this time at his grandpa's old place in northern France some years back.

    Hope you like it.

If you like my painting, check out my music (if nothing else it will make you appreciate my painting).

My dad does painting he's done some fantastic ones with cowboys and some great portraits. The ones he actually sells look like a house painters drop cloth to me, but they sell.

Yeah, better than mine, too, unfortunately.

Been painting for 6 years and playing guitar for 40. What the universe trying to tell me . . . ?

Well, at least your good at something. All I seem to be able to with any proficiency is put new dents on my truck.

Very nice. I almost expect a frog to leap out from around the flower pots. His gaze off the canvas makes me wonder what’s he’s looking at.

Thanks. Yeah, he's a very quiet, solitary, pensive kid, which really comes across if you see the paintings of him as a group.

Of course, these paintings of him are all self-portraits in a way, because I was that kid, too, once.

Except it was the 70s, so we had more hair and less food.

    Great painting, much appreciated.

what I do wonder though, since you have your sujet from a photo, why are the horizontal lines falling?
I think it would drive me nuts to hang his picture with/out whatever frame in a room.

    Many thanks.

I just copy what's in the picture (up to a point). I don't think about how it happened. But I think it has something to do with tonewood, or maybe capacitors . . .
