It's the Lowdown of Wicked Old Basin Street! And the Music That Made It Wicked! A gambling hall owner relocates from New Orleans to Chicago and entertains his patrons with hot jazz by Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Woody Herman & his Orchestra, and others.

In Holiday's autobiography she talked about this movie.

Apparently she and the musicians had a ton of scenes, being featured throughout most of the film. Holiday's character was cutting additional scenes too as the director thought she had a lot of charm for the film. The main actress, realizing this, threw a temper tantrum and with various agents/connections got all those takes cut because the film was supposed to be her feature.

I bet those outtakes were taped over long ago, still would be a cool find if they weren't.
