Picked up this at my local Long & Mquade in Ottawa
Having one of these reissues has been
One of my must haves for a long time
This one was hanging on the rack for some time and deserved some love
Very very happy with the quality and playability
Anyone else have one of these 2016 models

    Very nice! I've got a 2004 CIJ.
Where are the newer ones made?

I picked up one at the Philly Guitar Show last fall. I also wanted one for a long time and was so happy to get it. Biggest surprise, the pickups sound very vintage-great sound. If you are crazy about the looks, try an ashtray bridge cover on it. I'm starting to hear a difference in the tone with those covers on my Teles.

Picked mine up at a pawn shop in Virginia. Only took me two months to ding and dent it.

Very nice! About a month ago I dropped in to my local L&M for some strings. I had my two teenaged daughters with me and they wandered the store checking out the various instruments. There was a pink paisley tele on the wall and I grabbed it to check it out. It felt great and played very well. When my girls came back and saw me playing a PINK guitar they couldn't believe it. Of the multitude of colours on display there sits their dad playing the only pink guitar in sight. Well, they thought this was hilarious. I told them I would love to have one some day and they thought I was joking. Then I explained how Fender created the originals in the late sixties in the hippie and flower power era and how they didn't sell well initially but that they are highly sought after today. So much so that Fender is producing these reissues. My eldest is a big classic rock fan and she could relate but my younger daughter wasn't buying what I was selling. Still thought I was joking.:p:lol:

I love these, everyone I've heard sounds freaking killer. Sometimes they almost would be my #1 pick.

They look even better when the body and neck start to darken up like Kenny Vaughans or Brad Paisleys.
