Hi guys, new member here! Thought I'd say hello and share a few photos of my one and only Tele. It's a 1986 MIJ Fender Standard Telecaster that I bought last year, originally had a Bigsby on it in the 90s and it's been pretty beaten up over the years by the previous owner, but sounds amazing and plays wonderfully...:p

Welcome! You'd pay a pro a lot of money to 'relic' a guitar like that!

Haha, I know! It was the previous owner's back up guitar right up until he sold it last year, seen a fair few gigs over the years!

Welcome aboard! It's not "beaten up", it has "character". Such a classic color combination!

Nice Tele! I just scored an '85-'86 MIJ Strat and have been impressed with it. Like yours, mine has been worked over and appears to have been used a lot! The previous owner had it since the mid 90's and it was used as a backup on tour for a few indie rock bands. My only complaint was about the pickups, which were total crap, and replaced them with a set of Fender '57/'62 pickups. Sounds great now!
