    Oscar Schmidt Quilt Top
    $199

Needs a little set up work.
Plugged it in and played it thru the Katana 50.

Frets are pretty good. Have to tap a few with a fret hammer.
Keys are weak. Bridge is crappy.

PUPS sound pretty good even with the cheap electronics.

That top looks real nice. Good find. I used to have an Oscar Schmidt acoustic. It was a decent guitar for the money.

I'm gonna drop some Wilkinson Tuners into it.
    Wanna keep it light.

Gonna keep the original PUPS. Will rewire it with good CTS Pots and a new switch, and Oil in Paper caps.

Definitely needs a new bridge. Will drop in a Gold Bridge and Tailpiece.

    :p

    I love Oscar Schmidt's.
I have a Jumbo Acoustic. Love it.

I have an O.S. Gold Top Les Paul, a Tobacco Burst Les Paul Thinline, and now this one.

Yep. I love all the oranges and ambers and candy tangerines and fiesta reds and...

To the OP—that’s a beautiful guitar!

The shape of the cutaway is cool. I like how it’s just a bit different from a LP. Gives it some really cool but subtle character.

    Cool color.

    Nice!

Made in the factory Muse Inc. They make Washburn Alden, Bootleg brand and amplifiers, Hagstroms, Tagelwood and some other mojor brands. So it was made in a great place in Asia. They are really good guitars. And you know if Muse Inc can make a great Hagstrom Super Sweed they can make a great Oscer Schmidit. Congrats.

My wife purchased a left handed O.S. acoustic bass guitar as a graduation present for our son. I think it was around $299. Really beautiful, and well made.
Your new LP looks awesome. Enjoy.
