I would steer clear of these pickups personally, because 1) they're not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, and 2) there are too many FWRH options out there manufactured by tried and true companies. Do a quick search in this forum for "FWRH" or "Wide Range," and you'll find a dozen threads talking about different options.

Howdy AL. Another lefty here but I learned to play right handed. I had no options or cash when I started in 1974.

I’m also an upside down backwards player
I was hoping to find a left handed Tele made for right handed players like the JH tribute mirror Strat. If anyone sees this animal let me know.

    Welcome fellow Southpaw.
I have painted and assembled multiple Warmoth and USA Custom Guitars instruments over the years.
Best of luck and...PICS...or it didn't happen.

    Welcome aboard from Sunny Arizona!!
Not my style as well, but.....I really like it!! Tort binding and that tooled leather pickguard is pretty cool!!

My wife is the lefty here- she has a BSB Squire lefty Affinity Tele. It sounds great!!

    Thanks guys!

Another idea I came up with: standard thinline body with wide range humbucker in neck and standard thinline control layout with stacked pots to have separate volume and tone for each. Has anyone tried this?

So Warmoth got back with me about the Tele Custom Thinline, they said they couldn't do the controls with the thinline body.

I asked if they could do the WRHB in the neck, because that isn't an option for the Thinline either... I'm hoping they can do that one.

I have stacked 250k/500k pots on a solid body Tele with a P90 in the neck. I wanted 500k on the P90 and 250k on the bridge pickup. Gets the best sound out of each pickup, but it isn't as easy to use on the fly as non-stacked controls.

I'm a lefty as well, and the stacked pots were RH taper, so I wired them right handed. If you wire RH taper pots (audio log pots) left handed, the taper is all wrong and all the action is at the bottom of the pot's range and on a hair trigger. That's how almost all guitar makers wire up left handed guitars. I'd rather have the correct taper and turn the pot the other direction than have it turn left-handed but with the wrong taper.

Thankfully it's now possible to get 250k and 500k lefty pots (reverse audio log pots) so you can wire them left handed AND have the correct taper. Makes the controls much more useful. I just haven't found stacked pots with a lefty taper.

Hey thanks for this info! I'm slowly realizing everything lefty specific... that definitely explains why the knobs feel different on my Jazz Bass after installing the Obsidian Pro Wire kit. I got used to it pretty quickly though.
