Early '90s, Silver series, original tuners and bridge, Duncan quarter pounder, in the bridge. I was in my local small store, shooting the breeze and congratulating them, on their recent move, to larger premises. Picked this guitar off the wall, to keep my hands busy.....and it followed me home. Feels, sounds and plays great. It's going to rehearsal and probably to the gig, next Saturday. When you find a good one....you know, don't you?
I'm not put off, by top loaders.....I've got an '83 Fender, which I've been enjoying, since 1993. This one is reminiscent- but rings/resonates like crazy and has even more assertive pickups.
