After a very long absence, I've taken the plunge to get a new Stetson hat, the rawhide:

Will be wearing it for hiking and beach walks, occasional outdoor music festival.

Who else has a Stetson?

I have had a number of Stetsons over the years.
The current one is in Black, of course ;)
I have had this one for at least 10 years.

With all the heat lately, I have mostly been wearing Mission cooling hats.
Drench the thing in water, put it on and it keeps the noggin cool.
I have several and I wear one and the Raybans anytime I am going to be outside for more than a few minutes.

I think I must have around 5 or 6 Stetsons. Maybe even as many as eight. (I've got around 50 or 60 hats in total)

I have a Stratoliner and a Whippet in fur felt, along with some other fedoras Stetson had made for a particular hat shop.

Then I have at least one or two Stetson Milan hemp straw hats with wide brims.

Finally, I have a few Stetson caps as well.

I wonder if that cooling hat actually works? I mean if you wear it for more than 20 minutes

I had one of those cooling headband rag type deals that was popular a couple years ago, the ones you soak in water then put on your head

Only problem was it worked for about 5 minutes then it acted like a wetsuit on my head just keeping the heat in under warm water….

I don’t have good heat tolerance so anything that works would be nice

OP, thats a cool hat. If I was stateside I’d be all over that. It just wouldn’t fit with my current attire

bobio, I’ve been using Mission products since the advent of the end of the world. They really work

I wore it outside today while trimming the trees in the yard.
The water does eventually evaporate and the hat dries out, I just wet it again.
I would have to say that today it kept me cool for about 10-15 minutes, then I had to wet it again.
