That seems really cool, I missed Amebix on their last tour, wish I hadn't.

Not that new, but I like Factory of Dreams, they seem like modern to me:

Don't know why it posted both videos twice.

Yeah, it would've been great to have been able to see them, but they didn't come close to my city. Unfortunately Stig fell back into some "bad habits" and became unreliable, so Rob pulled the plug on the band again. He said he couldn't ever do Amebix without his brother, but he couldn't rely on him or get a hold of him half the time, so he put it back to bed. Rob runs a business by himself and can't afford to take that kind of time away from it if there's going to be uncertainty about the reliability of other band members. Plus, Roy Mayorga had a stroke after that tour (he's fine now) and he's been the drummer in Stone Sour for the past few years anyway, so he's not really available either.

A lot of the Tau Cross songs were ones Rob had written for a follow-up to the Sonic Mass album, so it definitely has that vibe (which is fine by me, I love Sonic Mass!) They're already working songs for another Tau Cross album and planning to hit the road in 2016 (they couldn't this year because Away was busy with Voivod.)

I'm really hoping they'll hit Colorado, although I'd imagine they will: one of their guitarists, Andy, is from Colorado and it turns out I saw his old band play several times!

    End of Me
    A Day to Remember
    I took some time away
For understanding of what brought us here today
Oh, you'll be the end of me
I'm never happy like we were happy
I'm never sad like we were sad
Oh, you'll be the end of me
You know me all too well
And I can't suppress the memories
You're gone and I can tell
That I've lost more than you'll ever see
Don't say that it's not fair
That you're not the person you wanna be
'Cause oh, you'll be the end of me
    I know I wasn't perfect, but I kept trying
Till I forgot why I stayed
Oh, you'll be the end of me
    Yeah we lost all meaning
    We lost the magic
So good luck to you on your way
Oh, you'll be the end of me
You know me all too well
And I can't suppress the memories
You're gone and I can tell
That I've lost more than you'll ever see

Even thought they cut a few bars here and there from the song (probably to fit broadcast time), it was cool to finally see Ghost on US TV. The keytar solo totally made up for the shortened tune though :D.

I gotta say, every time I see footage of them, it makes me want a Gibson RD. I've never been much of a Gibson person, but they just look so cool! If they did an affordable Epi version I'd be all over that!

Not sure how I feel about that new Sword album. I've only heard it as background a couple times. Nothing really jumped out at me like the last few. Still in heavy rotation on my ipood.

I sadly missed the boat on these kids but they're pretty fun. A friend gave me their catalog a few years ago. Lots of Pantera elements to it, but they loose me with the awful 90's Valley harmonizing, or whatever you call it. Wish they'd tone down the religious marketing & keep a lineup intact.
