A piece of electrical tape on the side of the pot and around the braided wire should work.
Surgically removed the braid up to the bridge vol pot, straightened the switch and put a piece of electrical tape on the neck vol pot. That's a wrap!* Thanks, folks!

Well done.

It’s always fun to look at guitar wirings, because of the small variations. Here you solved a problem by removing one inch of braid which was shielding a small part of the signal wire. Does it matter? Probably not because the two wires carrying the signal from each volume pot to the switch are not shielded either. Also, with the braided shielding in place and connected to the switch, the two yellow ground wires would be redundant, but now they are useful.
