When you see that other guitar in a shop window and fall in love with it ..but i already have a Fender telecaster , 2 Fender strats ..6 Gibson Les Pauls and a Taylor acoustic ..do i really need it ..? yes but this is Gold and a ltd edition and its the last one !!! but then im only buying it because of the colour !! ....yes but i love Gold ,,i already have a Gold Strat and 2 Goldtop Lespauls the only guitar missing is a Gold Tele ...but at £1600 !! yes but it will hold its value ...but i am only a bedroom guitarist ...well you have been playing for 35 years so its not just a passing fad ......i know but am i good enough to own that many guitars !! ...........my mind in turmoil !!

How does it play and sound? Any different sound characteristics compared to the guitars you own? Is it a niche' sound or one you can use for everything?
If the answer is no/negative to any of these questions I would not buy it. It will just be another number in the collection and add no value to your playing experience.
You can always have one you own refinished in gold. Save your money for something better.
