It's a guitar forum, for cryin' out loud. What are we supposed to post pics of, cookware?

I never miss a NGD post, personally. I like seeing people charged up over something that makes them happy.

I'm thinking about buying this kitchen implement. I'll update if I go through with it.

I love great gear, and I love reading about others who found something they're proud of! I like coming here and sharing my finds with others, and love encouraging people to have what they like too!

Its been several months since my latest NGD post, but I'm as happy with this Player Strat as I was the day I bought it:

Wow, not sure I could like a fiesta red strat, and I have a fiesta red tele. I stand corrected.

Nice strat!

I like to ask how much does it weigh, if they say its an 8lb 8oz Strat it makes me snarky and want to ask, hey, are you a weight lifter?
ahem, that's average weight before the internet.

And why would you care, unless you wanted to buy the exact same model?

Best case, you see someone's new Telecaster and think, "Hey, that looks just like mine! They've got great taste, like I do".

Worst case, you see someone's new Tele and think, "Wow, mine looks SOOOO much better than that. What were they thinking?".

Seems like a win-win to me.

I enjoy them. For a lot of people getting a new piece of gear doesn't happen often. Might as well celebrate, and most people's families don't know anything about it. Plus I love seeing guitars.
most people's families don't know anything about it. I think this right here is why we do NGD posts. This is the only place where there are others who will understand.

What is with that? I mean people say wow!. Great guitar, great deal. But many of them I roll my eyes. I'd like to say, to bad you didn't do this or that. But, I politely stay out. I like to ask how much does it weigh, if they say its an 8lb 8oz Strat it makes me snarky and want to ask, hey, are you a weight lifter? But you can't. You get folks bragging about their nauseous finish on their 10 top PRS $7500 guitar that they can't play cause it will devalue it. And everyone loves it. Oh well, it is just one of the things that make it interesting around here. OK discuss.
You're just being a "grumpy old man".
I am sure you are not really like that. Just...live and let live...
Also, (in a selfish way) saying nice things to someone makes you feel better inside than raining on their parade.

I can bench 15 pounds or maybe more and I can dead lift 19-20. I think I can handle an 8 pound Strat hanging on a strap.

Also every guitar is worth less than you pay for it no matter who makes it. PRS or otherwise.
Do you frequently ride elevators?

Here's my NGD in a NGD thread denouncing NGD's. The tele is 10lbs. I ride elevators.
